Turn your LA refusal letter into a draft appeal
Upload the decision letter and any reports. You get draft reasons for appeal (form SEND35 or SEND35A), a statutory timeline, and — if the council missed the 20 weeks — a draft complaint. Every point is tied to a page in your documents. You check it and submit it yourself on gov.uk.
What this is, and what it is not
This tool prepares documents. It does not file them. There is no “submit” button here and we never write to the tribunal or to the council on your behalf — you send everything yourself, through the gov.uk appeal service or by e-mail to send@justice.gov.uk.
We do not tell you whether you should appeal, and we do not estimate your chances. This is not legal advice. If you can wait for it, free specialist advice from IPSEA or your local SENDIASS is better than anything a piece of software can give you.
The deadline is two months from the date of the council's letter, or one month from a mediation certificate, whichever is later — gov.uk. We calculate it from your documents and tell you to check it against the letter.
